This event brings together researchers from all faculties of the University of Bern and data enthusiasts for a unique conference on Data Science.
Scholarship
The scientific politics scholarships enable graduates of Swiss universities to experience the political processes in the Swiss Parliament “live.” The scholarship holders work for one year in the Federal Parliament in Bern for the Parliamentary Services. They support legislative committees by working as part of a committee secretariat team. Very good knowledge of at least two Swiss official languages is essential.

Sexuelle Belästigung und Machtmissbrauch treten im Hochschulalltag oft in subtilen und schwer einzuordnenden Formen auf. Angehörige des Mittelbaus befinden sich dabei häufig in komplexen Rollen zwischen Betreuung, Lehre, Abhängigkeiten und institutionellen Machtverhältnissen. Dieser Workshop richtet sich gezielt an sie und vermittelt grundlegendes Wissen, Sensibilisierung und praxisnahe Handlungskompetenz. Im Fokus stehen Prävention, der konstruktive Umgang mit Situationen im Graubereich sowie konkrete Handlungsmöglichkeiten aus unterschiedlichen Perspektiven: als betroffene Person, als Bystander und als (potenziell) übergriffige Person.

At the Münchenwiler seminar 2026 we aim to discuss the confines within which scientists’ engagement with wider society can be fruitful and legitimate. We have invited speakers from a variety of academic disciplines to reflect on their experience and their self-perception. The seminar is open to all members of the teaching and research staff including doctoral and post-doctoral researchers at the University of Bern. Participation is free of charge.
