Swiss intermediate staff associations
The intermediate staff is organized by actionuni on the national level. On the subnational level, many universities and other higher education facilities have their own organizations for the non-professoral academic staff.
Its tasks include
- Communication and coordination among the various local intermediate staff associations
- Appointing and delegating intermediate staff representatives to national bodies such as the SNSF Foundation Council or the CRUS (new: swissuniversities)
- Maintaining contacts with political and science-related decision-makers and with the Association of Swiss Student Organisations VSS-UNES-USU
- Provision of information for researchers and politicians
- International contacts with other national intermediate researcher associations and the European Council of Doctoral Candidates and Junior Researchers EURODOC.
Through its collaboration with actionuni, the MVUB can also raise issues and concerns at national level and benefits from the exchange of experience with other intemediate researcher associations in Switzerland.
